An Inside Look into the Lives of Huntzinger Consultants

I’m Huntzinger’s Senior Enterprise Resource Management (ERP) Specialist. My role is to coordinate our company’s efforts relative to ERP advisory, audit, assessment, and implementation services.

Time in IT
I have more than 20 years of IT experience, 12 of which have been in senior management roles. While I have broad experience in IT, for the past seven years I have focused almost exclusively on ERP system assessments, selections, and implementations, with emphasis on financials, human capital management, supply chain management and business intelligence functionality.

What was Your Most Recent Assignment?
We are currently experiencing a cycle where multiple organizations are in the process of replacing their ERP systems. Several organizations are requesting assistance selecting new ERP systems, while others are seeking ERP implementation assistance. Other organizations are requesting assessments of either their existing ERP platforms or their inflight ERP implementations. So, my current assignment is to position Huntzinger to be as responsive as possible to these potential clients.

What is Your Domain Strength?
As I noted, I have worked with ERP systems for quite a few years. Coupled with my two decades of overall IT experience, I have a substantial base of experience to draw upon. And I have had the opportunity to work with most ERP systems, including PeopleSoft, Workday, Infor Lawson, ADP, Ultimate Software and NetSuite, just to name a few.

What are Your Hobbies?
Outside of helping clients experience the most out of their ERP systems and implementations, I spend time mentoring professionals to be the best in their areas of expertise. I enjoy serving on company boards helping to provide them with direction and insight into improving and expanding their business models and in gaining competitive advantages. Having played multiple competitive sports growing up (soccer, baseball, football, track and field, basketball, to name a few) I also volunteer my time at middle schools and high schools coaching track and field athletes to compete at their maximum levels (mainly high jumpers, discus and shot-put throwers). The thing I love the most though is spending time with my wife and four children and seeing them develop their talents and skills in music, athletics and academics.

What Do You Enjoy Most About Being a Huntzinger Consultant?
Huntzinger is an amazing organization filled with some of the most talented individuals I have ever worked with. The company culture is one that spawns creativity and supports their people in becoming the best versions of themselves, thus allowing them to deliver exceptional value and service to their customers. Group think is not a problem, as  individuals are encouraged to think uniquely while combining their exceptional experience, knowledge and talents with the rest of the team to come up with innovative solutions and methods that can solve any issue on any project.
