Huntzinger Consultant Recognized for Community Efforts

SCRANTON, Pa., April 11, 2017 – Huntzinger Management Group, Inc. (Huntzinger), a leader in healthcare advisory, managed, implementation, and staffing services, is proud to recognize Peter Masundire for the leadership he demonstrates in his professional life and in his efforts to improve his community. Masundire has worked with Huntzinger since 2010 as a consultant and delivery manager.

Masundire’s efforts were recently profiled in an article published by GO: South Seattle. The article details how Masundire led a capital campaign that raised more than $3 million toward the expansion of the Rainier Beach Urban Farm & Wetlands (RBUFW). Masundire serves as the chairperson of RBUFW, which is a unique site within Seattle that includes:

  • Environmental education
  • Farm production
  • Food distribution
  • Experiential learning opportunities
  • Community-building activities
  • Youth development

RBUFW produces several tons of fresh, healthy food annually for families struggling with food security. With the expansion made possible by the capital campaign, RBUFW plans to engage 5,000 community members and produce more than 20,000 pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables annually that will be primarily distributed to Rainier Valley residents.

While at work, Peter strives to help people by improving healthcare delivery through technology. On his own time, he works tirelessly to improve his community.
